Dede Norungolo, CRC, LPC, LAC, ADC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Thank you for taking the time to read this introduction. I won’t bore you with my resume, but I will tell you that I’m a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC) because of my journey. And, I’m a Greenville, SC, native whose father was Italian. I am from around here.
I maintain the CRC credential as a “badge of honor” after having experienced a moderate traumatic brain injury 25 years ago. After learning to walk, talk, and “do it all over again,” I spent many years discovering “who” I wanted to be again – a second act, so to speak.
I believe you have many of the answers to your questions – you just need to hear them. A therapist can give you that confidential setting where your verbalized needs, wants, and fears can be heard and not judged.
I will apply practice and theory to assist you on your journey. Individuals seeking to reintegrate into community, family, work, and academia following a medical diagnosis, trauma, or setback often feel they are not being heard. I specialize in grief, depression, anxiety, accessibility/disability-related issues, creating healthy boundaries, and helping individuals engage in sober living.
I serve South Carolinians contemplating change, learning how to switch from being reactive to proactive while leaning into healthy coping skills to change thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
